[1/2] Shrumen Lumen by FoldHaus Art Collective

Shrumen Lumen is a large-scale interactive kinetic installation by FoldHaus Art Collective, a project group of designers, engineers, and makers. The Giant mushroom origami-inspired sculpture itself was purely built up by a folding method with corrugated plastics. To make it work as an interactive sculpture that responds to human interaction, around 1560 LED lights in each mushroom sculpture were installed, and a network of Raspberry Pi(processor chip) was used to control both light and movement. With the help of the following network and programming by engineers, pressure pads which are part sculpture were created. When visitors step on the pad, it activates the mushrooms to change shape and colors.
