[1/4] Reading (Douglas Rushkoff: Ch.1-2)

Douglas Rushkoff's writing sure helped me to organize my scattered thoughts on the natural biases digital technologies issues that been long and flow in my head quite a while.
With the advancement of digital technology, we tend to take many things for granted in our daily lives without realizing how heavily we rely on it.
And slowly the digital technologies have not only reshaped our cultural and economic landscape, but it also changes the whole aspect of human lives. The author talks about in chapter 1 and 2 about how the advancement of digital technologies led us to reinterpret the meaning of time and place. As he mentions, digital technologies have certain biases, and when used in correspondence to the biases these technologies improve our quality of life and free us from the obstacles we once faced; when used against these biases they might cause more harm and trap us.
