[13/3] SELFIE

Showed my process:
Owing to the blog that we were assigned to create in our first day of class, I am now able to visually see the process of what materials we covered and how. My blog, which is filled with pictures and reflections on the work we did in the class, turned out to be another form of a portfolio. It also contains all of the processes of my successes and failures while making art with different kinds of media and forms.

Explained my outcome:
Writing reflections on my process of learning new things in my blog every week not only helped keep me on track but also motivated me to explain the outcomes that we got to explore in the class. When I unintentionally got to choose the topic of sound as a medium for my final project, I immediately went back to the post where I wrote about it and revisited the area where I struggled with it. Given that I wrote down the explanation of this outcome and what had gone well or not, I was able to come up with a better idea whenever I needed to.

Linked to vocabulary:
Although most of the concepts we covered in our class were pretty much very new to me, I got to reinterpret some of the topics, such as sound, that was already very familiar to me but not considered as part of media that can be taught in art education.

Found multiple possibilities:
Through this course, I learned many possibilities of how to incorporate new technologies into art teaching. I was not sure nor did I even consider using circuits as part of the art project until we covered that subject in our class. I was particularly intrigued by the way we can infuse this subject matter into art teaching with ease.

I persevered through the work:
While working on a weekly assignment for this class, I tried to perserve my style as a designer as much as possible. I even ventured to bring my very own interests in most of the works we had to do for creative assignments.

Eliminated carelessness:
I attempted not to underestimate the fact that technologies sometimes take up more time than advertised. Even though we assume that technology would automatically calculate everything for you in a precise manner, it still requires more accurate measurements than we do by hand. Otherwise, unwanted outcomes will always happen if we don't eliminate carelessness.
